Nexus Insurance Services, a professional liability insurance broker, just announced that the company has a newly updated website with malpractice insurance resources for medical students. The website now includes information such as how to reduce medical malpractice insurance costs as well as special offers for medical students.
In fact, this web-resource is already available online and it offers students the ability to purchase a policy and print out a certificate of insurance within 10 minutes.
“We are pleased to offer these new assets to medical students,” said Kataf. the supervisor of the Student Liability Insurance website. “Its important for students to be informed and educated about their options when it comes to malpractice insurance. We want to be the company that students trust to get access to affordable rates and updated industry information.”
Malpractice insurance is important for students because it protects them in case of a lawsuit by a patient. In course of studying in the medical field, students are required to carry medical malpractice insurance which will cover legal costs and settlement payouts. The majority of universities in the U.S. will not accept a student unless he/she has an insurance policy.

“Currently, the high cost of malpractice liability insurance has deterred students from entering the medical field,” said Kataf . “However, our company has relationships with a wide variety of insurance providers which allows us to offer the lowest rates in the industry. We work closely with our clients to ensure that they receive a customized policy at just the right price.”

    About Student Liability Insurance

Malpractice insurance will help to pay for an attorney, court charges as well as any damages you may have to pay to the other party that sued you. The majority of medical schools in the U.S. do require that you purchase liability insurance if you are accepted into their school. You can either pay for insurance directly to the school if they offer it (few do) or you can buy your own insurance. Keep in mind that medical malpractice lawsuits are expensive, costing hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars. If you do not have this insurance, you are putting your personal finances and career in danger. Just one single lawsuit can end your medical career before it has even really started. You are a student, so we understand that you are on a budget.

Student Liability Insurance is a professional liability insurance broker that is in charge for medical students, physician assistants, nurses and doctors. The company’s mission is to be a firm that brings real value to clients, builds personal relationships on top of business ones and always conducts itself with sincerity, integrity and fairness. Because of the relationships with many providers, the company is able to shop a client’s application around to get the best rates. Contact Student Liability Insurance for free, no obligation quote for medical students liability insurance quotes, professional malpractice insurance or medical students compensation insurance.

A relationship expert once said that during an argument, there’s usually three sides to every story: his side, her side, and of course, the truth. This is something we must definitely keep in mind as teachers. Many educators (especially professors), have been accused of having the biggest egos this side of Mount Rushmore. One of the quickest ways to burn out in education is to refuse to embrace change. Keep in mind whether we want to admit it or not, life moves and changes constantly.

Students are constantly exposed to material we once never dreamed existed. Ironically, although students are exposed to more, they typically know less and are less mature than the generations before. However, that does not discredit the fact that students still bring a unique perspective to our classroom; it’s through their eyes that we can become better teachers.

One useful strategies for maintaining a high level of motivation in the classroom, can come from the Sales industry. Rule #1 in Sales is that in order to bring the customer to where you are (your level of understanding), you must first go to where they are (they’re current level of understanding). In simple terms, you must know your customer (in this case, your student).

Relating this concept to the education arena, you must simply and clearly define your objectives and what you would like to see happen over the course of a semester (or even a brief interaction) with a student, and then you help your students to do the same. In other words, know where YOU want to go, help them find out where THEY want to go, and then come up with a strategy for both of you to get there. In negotiating terms, they call this a win-win solution. Obviously, this strategy can only work if you value the student, and you believe he or she can make you a better teacher.

Students aren’t as concerned with the subject matter itself as they were with how the subject matter is being taught. They are more concerned with the Teachers attitude than the answers they are given. This might be a revelation to many eductators

If you want to become a more productive educator in or outside of the classroom, the key is student input – you must seek it. They say that the definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over again, but expecting different results. If you listen to and solicit feedback from your students, you won’t have to repeat the mistakes of the past. So value your students and their input; trust me, they hold the keys to your success.

Students apply for a student credit cards primarily for one purpose to enjoy convenience and ease in their transactions. Today, the concept of quick and easy transactions is now being introduced in schools and colleges in the US through the cashless payment systems.

If youre not familiar with cashless payment systems, you may be surprised that this mode of payment does not involve cash at all. Students do not need to fall in a long anymore just to wait for their turn to pay. With this new payment system, students simply have their fingerprints scanned and check out with their lunches.

This new system uses biometric fingerprint scanners to identify and pull up the students account. Afterwards, the amount of purchase will be automatically debited from the students personal account so theres no need to fumble for cash and wait for a change.

Other schools also use other devices such as credit card readers and bar-code readers just like the ones used in department stores and groceries. As a result, each transaction does not need to take longer than a minute or even just a few seconds.

According to the May 2007 survey conducted by the School Nutrition Association,- a non-profit group that represents 55,000 school lunch providers in the US, about 62% of 1, 200 nutrition directors reported that theyre already implementing the automated lunch payment system in their schools or a variation of the cashless payment system.

In the same survey, 4% said they would be implementing the automated lunch system within the next 12 months and almost 11% said they are planning to convert to the new system. Because of the positive response among school administrations and students, automated lunch payment systems are expected to become a part of the industry.

    Automated lunch payments and Students

What are the advantages of using an automated payment system? For one, this new system hopes to decreases cases of theft among students. Since students wont have to bring cash with them, lost-money incidents can be prevented.

Students can also enjoy eating their lunch or relaxing during their lunch break instead of spending precious minutes on the lunch line. The new cashless payment system also encourages parents to go online and check out what their kids are eating for lunch.

By logging in into the students account, a parent can track what his kid bought for lunch, what time he had lunch, and how much the meal cost them. Parents also have the option to transfer funds to their childrens account using through the internet.

For college students, November and December are filled with research projects and final exams. For recent graduates, however, these months can be exceptionally stressful, especially if a post-graduation dream job hasnt materialized on schedule. For graduates who left school with debt from student loans, November and December can be a month of reckoning.

Government-issued federal student loans and many non-federal private student loans grant students a six-month grace period after they leave school before they need to begin making loan payments. For students who graduated in May and June, then, those college loans come up for repayment in November and December.

And if youre a graduate whos caught up in the current recession and the highest unemployment rate on record for new college graduates, you may be getting your first student loan bill having no idea how youre going to make the payment.

Just ignoring those student loan bills isnt going to help. Defaulting on a federal student loan is no light matter. The government can step in and garnish your wages, once you get a job, or seize any income tax refunds you may have coming to you in order to put money toward your student loan debt.

Both federal and private student loans are nearly impossible to discharge in bankruptcy, so your student loan lenders can keep coming after you for payment, even if a judge declares you bankrupt and wipes out your other debts.

All your student loan accounts appear on your credit report, so your credit rating is also at risk. Repeated late and missed payments on your student loans will drop your credit score, will linger on your credit history for years, and can have a lasting impact on your ability later on to qualify for anything that requires a credit check. You may not be able to get a credit card, take out a car loan or home loan, rent an apartment, or even get a job — more and more employers are conducting credit checks on job candidates as a measure of your responsibility and maturity.

Clearly, keeping your student loans current needs to be a priority, for the sake of your credit and the health of your financial future. Whether youre a newly minted college graduate or a longtime borrower whos now having some financial troubles, if youre facing student loan payments that you cant afford, here are five ways to get help now.

    1. Contact your student loan lenders. Whether youre approaching the end of your grace period or youre already in repayment, if you know that you dont have the ability to make the payments on your student loans, contact your lenders immediately, explain your situation, and see what they can do to help.

For your federal student loans, the U.S. Department of Education can grant you additional periods of deferment or forbearance if youre facing financial hardship. With a government-approved deferment or forbearance, your student loan payments are postponed, with no adverse effect on your credit.

An ACS student loan is a loan that is serviced by the Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. It is a company known for outsourcing technology and business solutions. Universities across the country use the ACS student loan services because of the company’s reputation for using technology to effectively handle some of the more difficult aspects of loan services.

ACS student loans allow students to make payments online, instantly be able to see the status of an account, make changes to personal details such as name and address, and also to be able to receive email notifications when a payment has been processed.

Many different programs for financial aid fall under the heading of an ACS student loan. One of the major ACS student loan groups is the Campus Based Student Loan Program (CBSL), which includes Federal Perkins Loans, Nursing Student Loans (NSL), and Institutional Loan Programs, among others. Another major group of educational loans handled by ACS is the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFEL), which includes the Stafford (GSL) Loans, PLUS loans to parents of students, and loan consolidation services. ACS also has the ability to handle many other groups of educational loans donated by a variety of private companies.

For those who do not already have an ACS student loan, applications and guidelines for different financial aid options are available online. The ACS website gives a clear example of how to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form, and demonstrates what the results mean in terms of your eligibility for financial aid. Furthermore, applications for both Stafford and PLUS loans for parents can be found on the ACS website, and can be completed and sent in online.

If you are the holder of an ACS student loan already, you may be interested in knowing about the benefits of student loan consolidation. The ACS website provides information and application forms that could help you lock in a lower rate and reduce your monthly payment amount.

Some other tools that can help you with your ACS student loan are a repayment calculator, guidelines from the IRS about how to use your student loans for tax relief, and a glossary of important student loan-related terms.

All in all, an ACS student loan is one that will give the borrower plenty of ease and flexibility when it comes to loan servicing from application to repayment and consolidation. ACS works with a number of universities across the United States, including the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Vermont. In this economy, it is not always easy for middle school students to find a way to pay for their annual field trip. Most middle school students try to finance their educational outings with bake sales and magazine subscriptions, supplemented by donations from the parent-teacher organization and a healthy contribution from parents. Students and faculty at Port Charlotte Middle School, though, decided they needed to find another way. They began holding an annual garage sale every January – though to be accurate, it is really a cafeteria and multipurpose room sale.

This year’s garage sale was held on Saturday, January 30, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the middle school, and between 300 and 400 people attended. The sale garnered $2500 for the 7th grade field trip, according to geography teacher Barbara Davis.

This year, the annual 7th grade field trip will be to Epcot Center. Any leftover funds will be used to help pay for other 7th grade activities.

“Many students can’t afford a class trip to Epcot Center,” says Roby Love, one of the garage sale’s biggest supporters. Love is the site manager for the Harborview Road Extra Space facility. Extra Space donates to the garage sale every year, donating a large self-storage unit to hold all the donations.

“We could not do it without Extra Space Storage,” said Davis. “The local staff is extremely helpful – they go out of their way to help.”

Extra Space also collects donations from its tenants at its monthly auction/lien sale (at a lien sale, people buy the contents of abandoned units sight unseen, and sometimes end up with items that they do not want or need). Last year, Love says, Extra Space filled the donated unit with donations and then had to donate another unit to hold the rest. This year, the unit filled up in two weeks, she says, laughing, “and the school asked that we not collect any more!” Last year, the school raised about $3000 from the Extra Space donations.

Holly covers the storage industry and has recently been examining self storage in Port Charlotte.

If you have done the prerequisite research I mentioned then this should not be an issue. However, guitar playing is such a personal undertaking that finding the right teacher is relative to each student. What works for one, clearly does not always work for another.

Your teacher should care about you and take an interest in seeing you advance as a player. If this were not the case, I think this would be the biggest red flag to me if I was taking lessons all over again. I would want to know that there was some nurturing involved. If you feel that there really is no connection between the two of you then I think this might be a factor you can use to determine whether you move on or not.

It’s tricky. As a student you want the best teacher for you, but you may not know, if there is no barometer to show you.

I also think that many times the student is to blame for being a lousy student. I remember when I used to give private lessons. A few students would come back week after week and had done no practice at all. I found myself explaining the same things over and over and of course we couldn’t move on until the essential groundwork was covered. These students eventually gave up because they had no drive or ambition to improve. This can be very frustrating to the teacher. Other times extremely talented players would come for just a few lessons because all they needed was a little fuel to go off on their own and practice. They were literally sponges. These students are heaven for teachers!

So do the research, then take a lesson or two and see if that teacher is right for you. If you are serious about working at your instrument then you shouldn’t be to blame for being a bad student. At that time it’s simply a matter of finding the right person. Don’t short change yourself.

Many credit card companies see the marketing potential in college students. Credit card companies use promotional offers and free gifts like t-shirts, coffee mugs, or CDs to entice students on signing up for their company.

Have you ever asked why? Loyalty is a good reason. Credit card companies are competing to be the first credit card that the student will own. By being their first credit card, it is very likely that even when they graduate from college and enter the corporate world, students will be upgrading their credit cards with the same credit card company.

    Students are Big Spenders
Aside from this, college students are great spenders. Lets face it, credit card companies love customers who spend much using their credit cards. The more a person uses his credit card, the better it is for the business. And students are usually prone to over spending or using their credit cards excessively not just for their school necessities but on luxuries as well.

Despite the fact that college students are still in school and most do not have stable jobs to finance them, credit card companies are still doing everything to encourage these students on obtaining a student credit card. Furthermore, credit card companies are encouraging students to use their credit cards as often as they can.

Regardless of whether a student can afford to pay it or not, credit cards are willing to take the risk. Why? Because they can simply charge additional costs on the customers account if they fail to make their payments on time. For instance, credit card companies profit from charging interest rates and penalty fees on their customers. Obviously, customers who fail to pay their balances promptly pay more even if it takes them some time to repay their bill. In the end, the credit card company is still the one who benefits.

    Students Need Credit
It is also interesting to know that students will do everything in order to repay their credit card debts. Although, students may fall behind on their payments, they will still find some way to pay off their debts especially as they are about to graduate and find employment. Students may get a part-time job, get a student loan, or borrow from their parents or relatives the money to get off their credit card debts.

Students need to clean up their credit report from any unimpressive records. They need to boost their credit rating so that future employers and creditors can find them worthy of their approval. Thus, credit card companies know that whatever happens, students will find a way to settle their credit card debts sooner or later.

In view of this, it is up to the students on how they will use their student credit cards to their advantage. Credit card companies do not have to be the only ones to profit. A student credit card can provide great help and support during a students college years as long as the student knows how to manage his finances responsibly.

Most students are unclear as to the information landlords can request from students during the housing application process. As a result, many students are taken advantage of and their applications for Waterloo student rentals are judged based on information they did not have to provide. Student focused property management companies are an effective option to avoid this situation. They always act professionally and never ask inappropriate questions. They are solely interested in finding each and every student off campus housing that meets their specific requirements.

For permission to conduct a credit check

If you have pets or are a smoker

Any other questions that will help them effectively assess you as a potential tenant. However, questions cannot infringe upon your rights as identified by law.

In terms of fees, landlords can request:

    oFirst and last months rent

    oKey deposits
